Rivers Restaurant is an upscale restaurant located in the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Building which looks onto the Chicago River. The 7,000 square foot restaurant seats 214 guests and features a bistro/bar area as well as an exposition cooking line for the patrons to look upon. Of particular interest in the dining area is the curved etched glass partition that separates the dining from the service counter. The recessed neon lighting brings to detail the serpentine soffit pattern that exists in the dining area, follows the bar and leads your eye through the entire restaurant. The finishes are of richness in material from the deep mahogany millwork and paneling, the granite counters and bar tops, and the Italian tile on the floor. An espresso cafe' and takeout area were designed to serve patrons directly off the first floor mall area.

Advanced Contract & Design Services, Inc. has been responsible for the design and implementation of many espresso/coffee houses. Besides the typical strip mall locations, we have had the opportunity to design shops as part of existing businesses such as the Northwestern Bookstores.
